Saint-Cyrien, he served in the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment based in Dieuze (57) as airborne long-range recce team leader (1984-88), as head of the operations office (1997-1999), and commanding officer (2003- 2005).
After commanding a Group of Special Forces in Afghanistan (2006), he became head of the office reserved for the cabinet of the Minister of Defense in charge of relations with the intelligence services under this ministry (DGSE, DRM, DPSD).
When the National Intelligence Coordination (CNR) was created, he joined the Elysee Palace as deputy to the national intelligence coordinator (2008-2011). He was then appointed Special Operations Forces Commander (COS) (2011-2013) and then led operations in Libya (2011), the withdrawal of French forces in Afghanistan (2012-13), and operations against jihadists in Mali ( 2013) during Operation Serval.
Appointed Director of Military Intelligence, on August 1, 2013, he joined this department in which he had already served from 1999 to 2003.
He has served in many theaters of operations including Chad, Former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Mali, Sahel, Levant, ...
Now, he is Group Director of Security, Risk, and Crisis Management of Unibail Rodamco Westfield.
